ISE is working with the Movement for Community Led Development, and community-led organizations globally, to discuss, collate and share ways in which community-led development (CLD) and community-driven development (CDD) have been responding to the primary and secondary effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. This paper, originally published by the Movement for Community Led Development, outlines key themes and takeaways from virtual discussions among CDD/CLD practitioners from around the world on the challenges of community programming during COVID-19.
Additionally, sharing examples of quick mobilization and innovation by communities and CLD/CDD organizations help showcase what can happen when communities are at the center of development and will allow people to learn from one another.
