Practical Solutions for Public Problems: The Ten Functions of the State Course

Based on ISE’s governance framework and toolkits, ISE’s Practical Solutions for Public Problems: The Ten Functions of the State Course aims to build capacity in the public sector by teaching current and rising leaders about the transformative power of good governance and to equip participants with the knowledge and skills to design, implement and accelerate government reforms to better serve citizens. The Course uses ISE’s knowledge and practical insights from more than a decade of research and on-the-ground experience and draws on our global network of thought leaders, development experts and policy professionals to create engaging, hands-on learning experiences based on real-world challenges. The course is scheduled to launch later in 2021.

ISE is hosting a short, virtual pilot version of the Course in the spring of 2021 that will cover a select number of state functions. Enrollment in the pilot will be limited to a select number of participants based on qualifications and interest.

ISE also offers tailored education and training courses on leadership, public sector development strategies and on specific functions, from public finance to infrastructure. If you are interested in participating in the courses or learning more about our education and training work, please contact Gracia Angulo Duncan.
