The Institute for State Effectiveness (ISE) is searching for qualified candidates to join its fiscal policy team in field missions to Kabul, Afghanistan, with the possibility of other country work.
ISE’s NextGen Fellows Program aims to enhance practical skills and substantive expertise for the next generation of global leaders, while establishing connections for them across focus areas and regions. It also provides opportunities for dialogue and research on the applicability of different approaches to contemporary challenges in governance. The Global Fellows Program provides a range of opportunities including:
A governance course
Participation and mentorship in professional development opportunities
Connection to relevant communities of practice through ISE’s programs and initiatives
Support in completing an applied research project and publication
The Global Fellows are selected on a competitive basis globally based on demonstrated impact on the range of ISE focus areas, commitment to public service, integrity and leadership potential. Fellows are under 40 at the time of selection. Fellows serve for a year, during which time they concentrate on a focus area and/or geographic area.
ISE’s Senior Fellows Program was established to foster interconnections across professional disciplines, enhance public understanding of governance issues, contribute to ISE’s expertise and body of knowledge and build a network of leading experts and scholars in governance around the world.
Our Senior Fellows are leaders in their professional fields. They contribute to research and policy work in one or more of ISE’s areas and regions of focus. Fellows serve for one or two years, on a full-time or adjunct basis.
