The Movement for Community-Led Development (MCLD) released the first-ever assessment of the state of community-led development (CLD) programming, unpacking the current practices of CLD in 170+ programs across 65 countries. More than 200 practitioners and policymakers joined the Zoom call to hear the findings of this research and learn about the new collaboratively developed tools to assess and improve locally-led development programming. The keynote address was presented by Dr. Joyce Banda, the 1997 Africa Prize Laureate and former president of Malawi. President Banda has recently devoted her energies to a new community development initiative in her country. The discussion also featured ISE team members Nelly Mecklenburg and Brigitta Bode.
